Every dancer loves a tutu!

ORDER YOUR TUTU TODAY!

Tutus are made to order, or you may request one of the tutus shown here, or even choose a Classical ballet that you love and I can take it from there.  Waist and desired length are all that I need to know to create your dancer's dream tutu.  Tutu colors and adornments are inspired by the actual tutus worn on stage by performers who have danced as the represented character.  Tutus are made from yards of tulle and ribbon and easily fastened by simply tying them on.  Each tutu comes with a brief history of the Classical ballet that it hails from, the character it represents, and a tiny silver ballet charm.   For the finale, your tutu is wrapped in pink tissue paper, placed in a large box, and secured with a pink satin ribbon; a beautiful gift.

Pricing of the tutus varies based on size and shipping.

About these smart tutus

These beautiful, full, fluffy tutus are influenced by the fantastic classical story ballets.  The intention behind the tutus is to inspire and educate the younger, ballet-loving bunch while playtime occurs.

Each tutu is unique and made with over 20 yards of tulle, as well as loads of ribbons in satin, organza and shimmering metallics and/or iridescents.  They are handmade in two to three colors of tulle and ribbon; colors are influenced by the character's more classical costume version.

The classical ballet tutus come with a card attached describing the character the tutu was inspired by and the ballet she hails from.  To finish it all off, a tiny silver charm of ballet slippers is tied to the tutu (charm is easily removed and meant to wear).

The tutus are packaged sweetly in pink tissue paper, wrapped with a ribbon, and presented in a nice box, so that you may easily gift them.

The Nutcracker, Giselle, Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake are some of the ballets which have inspired these tutus.
Have an idea of your own?  Let us know - we would love to hear what inspires you and your ballerina.

The TutuZazoo Project and St. Augustine Ballet

children of The St. Augustine Ballet rehearsing The Nutcracker

TutuZazoo is a project established by Jennifer Dournaux, a former dancer and now current ballet teacher and participant of the St. Augustine Ballet.  Her tutus are not merely created with tulle and organza, but also with the idea in mind to educate younger dancers on ballet and its history.  The history of ballet is extraordinary – infused with fantastical tales and characters, yet built by real visionaries and strong, elegant artists, who have, for centuries, expressed the poignant things of humanity. Ballet is most deserving of our respect and patronage; with this in mind, $1 of your tutu purchase will be donated to The St. Augustine Ballet. So, "Thank You" for your patronage.
